HOW TO GET OUT OF DEBT

How to get out of debt:
The first step towards getting out of credit card debt is acknowledging the fact that you are actually in debt. This sounds simple, but in actuality, there are many people that live their lives oblivious to the fact that they are financially struggling! These people live paycheck to paycheck, sometimes having to take out payday loans just to pay bills on time. If you find yourself in this situation, there is an easier way.
Take a good look at your bills. How much do you spend every month on bills? How much do you make? If you are spending more than you make each month, you need to take immediate action. You can do this by cutting back some of your expenses. Do you really need cable and a latte every morning? You can also look into getting a second job. A few more hours a week might put the extra money in your pocket that could help you pay off those bills.
If you have a credit card, chances are that this is exactly what is putting you even further in debt. If you are making the minimum payments each month – it can take up to 30 years to get those credit cards paid off! If you are accumulating charges on that card in the meantime, it could take quite a lot longer.
If you would like to talk about your debt to a financial counselor who can offer an in-depth evaluation of your situation, give us a call today.
